Western Digital Corporation, a global leader in storage solutions, hard drives and Network Attached Storage (NAS) devices, has appointed Tudortech as an official distributor. This move will enable Western Digital to grow its market share in South African whilst increasing the availability of their storage and memory devices range.
Tudortech is a South African based sales, marketing and distribution company with a strong retail distribution channel, making them the ideal partner for bringing Western Digital products to the South African consumer market.
Ghassan Azzi, Senior Sales Manager Africa at Western Digital, says of the appointment, “We are excited to be working with Tudortech to increase the retail presence of our Western Digital brand. In addition, we will be offering our full support to them and their channel in order to facilitate this arrangement.”
Tudortech has been a long-serving distributor of the SanDisk brand, now one of Western Digital’s own brands. According to Azzi, the brand growth for SanDisk has been tremendously successful. He says, “the success of Tudortech’s marketing of our SanDisk brand opened the door for their appointment to distribute all Western Digital branded products, as well. It is our belief that their dominant position in the retail distribution channel will take the Western Digital brand to new heights.”
Azzi adds that they plan on streamlining their retail business through developing a go-to-market strategy in partnership with Tuderotech. He says that this will not only boost their market share, but also offer Tudortech the opportunity to distribute their well-known brand, a favourable situation for both parties.
According to Gary Shap, CEO at Tudortech, “we look forward to working with our customers and partners across our distribution network to further develop the WD business in South Africa.
We pride ourselves in working alongside best of breed technology companies and look forward to offering consumers a wide assortment of solutions across the Western Digital product portfolio for storing and sharing their valuable content.
Our customers and consumers alike can look forward to excellent service and support synonymous with both the Tudortech and WD brands.”
Western Digital’s full branded product range will be distributed via Tudortech from September 2017 onwards, and will have the backing of a dedicated Western Digital sales and marketing team at Tudortech.
“We are immensely happy to be working with Tudortech and hope to continue this mutually beneficial partnership long into the future and beyond,” concludes Azzi.
